Open Theatre Project is looking for CONCERT COORDINATORS & VOLUNTEERS for our 2017 / 2018 Season of JP CONCERTS at St. John's Church in Jamaica Plain. >> ABOUT OUR CONCERT COORDINATORS
Our Concert Coordinators are the heart and soul of JP Concerts. Coordinators are a team of 2-3 individuals who will produce and staff all 13 concerts for the 2017 / 2018 Season from top to tail. They will work in coordination with JP Concerts & OTP Management to guarantee the success of each individual concert and the Season as a whole. Specific responsibilities below. Compensation is $30-50 / concert depending on staffing / needs and a % of funds raise
Season Responsibilities
Support fundraising efforts including grant writing
Support marketing outreach
Support relationship with St. John's Church
Attend networking and promotional events
Concert Responsibilities
Only One Coordinator need be present for the following
Be in attendance of all rehearsals and performances
Open the house and set up all JP Concerts Front of House / Marketing Materials
Manage Volunteer Staff
Coordinate any Performer Load In / Set Up
Take Tickets and Handle Audience Experience
Promote through our social channels with pictures / videos
Make sure space is returned
Compensation: Stipend per Concert Event plus % of all Funds Raised

JP Concerts is a community music program of St. John's Episcopal Church in Jamaica Plain managed by resident performing arts company, Open Theatre Project. The St. John’s sanctuary is a beautiful venue with surround-sound acoustics and an ideal location in the heart of Jamaica Plain. Performances to date have covered a broad range, including multi-media theatrical presentations, wind, keyboard, string recitals, clarinet quartets along with Japanese flute and vocals. These concerts showcase musicians ranging from local talent to world-renowned performers. We are also the home venue for A FAR CRY, Jamaica Plain’s very own self-directed chamber orchestra.
